Ever wonder what it would be like to move to China?  Meet Marissa!  As an American adopted from China, Marissa is living back in China and sharing her experiences with our Mei Girls.

My name is Marissa.  I'm fourteen.   I was born in China and when I was eight months old, I was adopted.  For the next 13 years I lived in Florida with my mom, my older brother, and two younger sisters who were also adopted from China.   Up until the fall of 2010, I was just a normal teenager in middle school who liked hanging out with her friends, playing my flute in the band, playing soccer, and doing fun things with my Girl Scout troop.   Now, everything has changed.   My mom was asked to be the director of six foster homes and a school for special needs orphans (in China).  So, we sold practically everything, packed our bags and moved to Henan Province, China.....Living in China is really cool, but it has some advantages and disadvantages.   If you'd like to learn more about what it's like to live here, ask me some questions and I'll answer them the best I can!
